Paz <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La mayor parte de las cepas de laboratorio de saccharomyces cerevisiae llevan en su citoplasma una molecula de rna monocatenario de 2,5 kb denominada \u00ab20s rna\u00bb. 20s rna ha sido clonada en forma de cdna, secuenciada en casi su totalidad y caracterizada a nivel molecular. Contiene informacion para la sintesis de una proteina de 91 kda (p91) que contiene secuencias de aminoacidos caracteristicas de rna polimerasas dependientes de rna virales, con gran parecido a las de colifagos, sobre todo a la replicasa de qbeta.  con anticuerpos especificos contra una parte de p91, expresada en e. Coli, hemos detectado esta proteina en extractos de s. Cerevisiae procedentes de cepas crecidas en diferentes condiciones de cultivo. P91 no sufre procesamiento proteolitico postraduccional. Esta proteina esta asociada con 20s rna formando un complejo ribonucleoproteico. Estos complejos p91\/20s rna han sido utilizados como fuente de actividad enzimatica y de rnas molde en ensayos de replicacion in vitro y el producto principal de los mismos es 20s rna de tama\u00f1o completo, aunque tambien existe sintesis de su cadena complementaria.
