Recientemente se ha comunicado que tp-1 podria tener un efecto estimulante de la mielopoyesis in vivo, el cual no ha sido, hasta ahora, soportado por estudios basicos. En nuestro trabajo, empleamos el material aspirado de medula osea (mo) de 41 individuos sanos voluntarios, la capa leuco-plaquetaria del producto de 8 hemodonaciones y la mo o la sangre periferica de 47 pacientes (31 con leucemias agudas no linfoblasticas lanls,  2 con sindromes mielodisplasicos -smds- y 14 con linformas no hodgkin -lnhs-). Entre los principales metodos empleados destacan distintos tipos de ensayos clonogenicos, cultivos liquidos, tecnicas de elisa, citogenetica convencional, hibridacion in situ y diversos estudios realizados por citometria de flujo. En el presente trabajo, nosotros hicimos una serie de hallazgos que se relacionan brevemente a continuacion: 1) tp-1 estimula la mielopoyesis in vitro (p&lt;0,01), accion que ejerce a una \u00abdosis optima\u00bb y que desaparece al incrementar la concentracion del producto. 2) ademas, tp-1 parece tener efecto sinergico con el gm-csf en el estimulo de los progenitores granulo-monociticos. 3) la accion de tp-1 sobre la hematopoyesis esta mediada por linfocitos t y monocitos, asi como por il-1 alfa y beta e il-6. 4) tp-1 no estimula la actividad proliferativa de las lanls ni de los lnhs.
