Se detalla el marco general sobre la ense\u00f1anza de los numeros. Los diferentes aspectos se organizan en torno a tres dimensiones:  abstracta, contextual y de recta.  capitulo 2. El marco del capitulo 1 se concreta para los numeros negativos, poniendo enfasis en la resolucion de problemas y en la identificacion de la suma y la resta.  capitulo 3. Se plantea el problema de investigacion y la metodolog\u00eda.  capitulos 4 y 5. Se detallan las dos experiencias de aula. Se ensaya con varios grupos de alumnos de septimo de educacion general basica un material para la introduccion de los numeros negativos. Se presentan en detalle las conclusiones de dichas experiencias.  capitulo 6. Se resumen las principales conclusiones, se indican las implicaciones didacticas del estudio y se precisan las limitaciones de investigacion.  en los anexos se incluyen los materiales usados por los alumnos, las pruebas escritas y los protocolos de las entrevistas.
