Beatriz <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se han estudiado las proyecciones gabaergicas aferentes y eferentes del coliculo inferior y la morfolog\u00eda de las celulas de proyeccion comisural y coliculo-geniculada.  los resultados muestran que:  el coliculo inferior (ci) recibe proyecciones gabaergicas ascendentes desde centrosauditivos troncoencefalicos ipsi y contralatterales. Las proyecciones gabaergicas contralaterales se originan mayoritariamente en el ci y en el nucleo dorsal del lemnisco lateral (ndll). La parte dorsal del ci recibe la mayor parte de sus conexiones gabaergicas contralaterales desde su hom-onim contralateral, mientras que la parte ventral las recibe desde el ndll contral el nucleo ventral del lemnisco lateral (nvll) ipsilateral es la fuente mas importante de proyecciones gabaergicas al nucleo central del ci. El cuerpo geniculado medial recibe proyecciones gabaergicas del ci y representa el 10% del total de la proyeccion coliculo-geniculada originandose en neuronas grandes localizadas en el cortex externo. La morfolog\u00eda de las neuronas de proyeccion del ci identificadas coincide con la de todos los tipos celulares descritos previamente con el metodo de golgi.
