Se ha estudiado el efecto que produce su inhibicion sobre los procesos de diferenciacion y apoptosis en la linea celular k562, procedente de una leucemia mieloide humana en fase cronica. En la primera parte del trabajo se ha estudiado el patron de expresion de los genes mad durante diferenciacion y apoptosis de k562, observandose que el patron de expresion de los genes mad es distinto para las diferentes lineas a las que se puede diferenciar k562. La segunda parte del trabajo se ha dedicado a la inhibicion de c-myc mediante la expresion de max y de dos mutantes inhibitorios de c-myc distintos. El efecto obtenido en los tres casos es el mismo: diferenciacion eritroide espontanea sin efecto sobre la diferenciacion mielomonociticae inhibicion de la apoptosis inducida por acido okadaico.
