En particular, se realiza un estudio sobre las conque debe cumplir la punta detectora para poder ser considerada un detector pasivo. Se produce a una discusion sobre los mecanismos de formacion de imagenes en diversas configuraciones experimentales de microscopia de campo cercano. Seguidamente, se describen los mecanismos fisicos envueltos en la deteccion local de campos electromagneticos resonantes (plasmones superficiales, efecto goos-hanchen).  finalmente, se incluye un modelo difractivo sobre la difusion de luz por estructuras nanometricas en superficie planas metalicas con aplicaciones en almacenamiento de informacion en discos opticos
