Se demuestra que el control conformacional es fundamental en la evolucion de reacciones de epimerizacion y acoplamiento para generar eteres en condiciones de ciclacion reductiva, utilizando silanos y catalisis de acidos de lewis (si-la). Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que la colaboracion del efecto anomerico y de enlaces por puente de hidrogeno del grupo hidroxilo hemicetalico, con otros enlaces c-o mantenidos en relacion 1,3-diaxial, predice la estructura del hemicetal y la estereoquimica del compuesto de reduccion, lo que constituye un dise\u00f1o muy eficaz en la sintesis convergente hacia anillos de oxano y de general aplicacion en los polieteres fusionados en trans mediante condiciones de control termodinamico.
