Hemos estudiado 69 sujetos heterocigotos hf (diagnostico genetico), 25 hombres y 44 mujeres, (edad media 33,8 y 38,1 a\u00f1os, respectivamente) en situacion basal (dieta libre durante 4 semanas) y tras una dieta hipolipemiante (recomendaciones s.E.A. 1994) durante 2-3 meses, sin modificacion del imc.  en todos los pacientes se estudio en ambos periodos el ct, tg, ldl-c, vldl-c, hdl-c y apo b. Tras el periodo dietetico hubo un descenso significativo (p&lt;0.0001) del ct,ldl-c y apo b. Se estudiaron las mutaciones del gen de la apo e encontrando un 7,2% e2, 7,2% e4 y 85,6% e3. No se observaron diferencias significativas en la respuesta a la dieta entre los distintos alelos de la apoe, a diferencia de lo observado en la poblacion general. Con respecto a la apoa-i estudiamos la mutacion g\/a -75 encontrando 55 sujetos g\/g y 18 g\/a. Los portadores del alelo a mostraron niveles basales y tras dieta de ct y ldl-c significativamente mas bajos que los no portadores (p 0,005). Ambos grupos de sujetos respondieron a la dieta hipolipemiante de manera similar, no observando una mayor respuesta en los portadores del alelo a, a diferencia de lo descrito en poblacion general.  estudiamos tambien dos mutaciones de la apoa-iv (347 y 360). De la mutacion 347 encontramos 44 sujetos con el genotipo t\/t, 18 s\/t y 1 s\/s. Los sujetos homocigotos para el alelo t mostraron tras la dieta un descenso significativo (p 0.03) de tg y vldl-c, mientras que los portadores del alelo s mostraron un aumento de tg y un descenso minimo de vldl-c. Con respecto a la mutacion 360, detectamos 51 sujetos 1\/1 y 16 1\/2.
