Aranzazu <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La teoria de los radicales libres propuesta por harman, propone que estos son responsables de los fenomenos asociados al envejecimiento. Esta teoria propone la administracion de antioxidantes para evitar, o al menos, paliar los efectos de los radicales libres sobre las celulas envejecidas. La teoria de los radicales libres fue completada por miquel y cols. Que propusieron que el genoma mitocondrial es la principal diana de los radicales libres en celulas envejecidas. Las conclusiones obtenidas en la presente tesis son las siguientes: 1) se produce una oxidacion del glutation mitocondrial durante el envejecimiento. 2) aparecen signos de da\u00f1o en el dnamitocondrial tales como aumentos en la formacion de 8-ohdg, una base modificada oxidativamente, presente en el dna. 3) se produce una relacion entre la oxidacion del glutation y el da\u00f1o oxidativo al dnamitocondrial. 4) hemos podido observar como la administracion de antioxidantes tales como la vitamina c y e y la administracion de un extracto de gingko biloba evitan la oxidacion en el glutation mitocondrial y el da\u00f1o al dnamitocondrial.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Envejecimiento mitocondrial y su prevencion mediante antioxidantes.<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Envejecimiento mitocondrial y su prevencion mediante antioxidantes. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0  Millan Dominguez M.
