Antonia <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se ha caracterizado limnologicamente, por primera vez, las lagunas de dos subsistemas carsticos de la provincia de cuenca, uno carbonatado y otro sulfactado. Se ha estudiado con detalle la laguna de la cruz (del primer subsistema), una laguna que exhibe meromixis ferrica y biogenica, en la que se produce un proceso de precipitacion tumultuosa del caco3 durante un corto periodo de tiempo todos los a\u00f1os con la formacion de cristales aciculares de calcita magnesiana. En ella se desarrollan 2 densas laminas de bacterias fotosinteticas del azufre (amoebobacter sp. Y pelodictyon clathraliforme) a muy bajas intensidades luminosas. La laguna de arcas-2 (del segundo subsistema) es holomictica y durante la estacion calida desarrolla un hipolirunion anoxico y rico en h2s donde se establece una densa lamina de bacterias purpuras del azufre (chromatium weissei, thiocapsa sp. Y amoebobacter sp.) Junto a densas poblaciones de cryptomonas erosa y de oscillatoria ornata. Se detecto la presencia de un microorganismo epibionte exclusivo de las celulas de c.
