Como conocimientos previos, se presentan las caracteristicas fundamentales de la teoria de la resonancia adaptativa y de la teoria de conjuntos difusos. Se proponen dos nuevos modelos: fasart y fasback, que comparten caracteristicas propias de ambas disciplinas. Los modelos tienen un aspecto dual que permite su interpretacion bien como redes neuronales, bien como sistemas logico-difusos. Se aporta un resultado teorico que asegura la posibilidad de aproximar funciones mediante los modelos propuestos. En la parte experimental, se presentan ejemplos de aplicacion de fasart y fasback en problemas de identificacion y control de sistemas no lineales. Se utilizan diferentes esquemas de control aplicados a problemas teoricos y tambien a modelos de plantas quimicas (reactores batch), petroquimicas (torre de destilacion) y bioquimicas (produccion de
