La corticosterona plasmatica se ha determinado por espectrofotofuorometria; obteniendose los siguientes resultados: la alfa metil-p-tirosina disminuye los niveles plasmaticos de corticosterona manteniendo el ritmo circadiano; la paraclorofenilalanina invierte el ritmo circadiano; la asociacion de alfametil-p-tirosina y paraclorofenilalanina anula el ritmo ciclico de secrecion de corticosterona y la administracion de levodopa incrementa los niveles matutinos y vespertinos de corticosterona plasmatica, manteniendo su ritmo circadiano.
