La estrategia dise\u00f1ada, mediante una reacci\u00f3n de diels-alder entre una sulfinilnaftoquinona y un dieno \u00f3pticamente, permite no s\u00f3lo acceder a los regiois\u00f3meros de las rubiginonas a y c, sino tambi\u00e9n a los productos naturales. El dieno quiral se ha dise\u00f1ado a partir de los 4-sulfinilmetil-p-quinoles, aplicando una metodolog\u00eda que ya se hab\u00eda puesto a punto en nuestro grupo de investigaci\u00f3n.  por otra parte, se han sintetizado por primera vez unas p-quinaminas \u00f3pticamente activas, las 4-amino-4-sulfinilmetil-2,5-ciclohexadienonas. para ello se llevo a cabo una optimizaci\u00f3n de la oxidaci\u00f3n electroqu\u00edmica de los monoacetales de p-benzoquinonimina precusores.  adicionalmente se ha estudiado el comportamiento de estas p-quinaminas en reacciones de adici\u00f3n conjugada, empleando diferentes compuestos organomet\u00e1licos y sistemas carbon\u00edlicos alfa,beta-insaturados. En este sentido, se ha explotado el gran potencial de estos sistemas en las reacciones de tipo dominio, aprovechando su rica funcionalizaci\u00f3n, actuando tanto como electr\u00f3filos como nucle\u00f3filos. Las reacciones con sistemas carbon\u00edlicos alfa,beta-insaturados han dado lugar a la formaci\u00f3n de diferentes compuestos con estructura azabic\u00edclica y azatric\u00edclica, con un alto control de la diastereoselectividad del proceso, gener\u00e1ndose hasta cinco nuevos centros quirales en una \u00fanica etapa de reacci\u00f3n. se ha observado que el empleo de especies de titanio en la reacci\u00f3n es determinante para conseguir un total estereocontrol del proceso, logr\u00e1ndose la desimetrizaci\u00f3n del sistema de ciclohexadienona.  por \u00faltimo, se ha estudiado el comportamiento de los 4-sulfinilmetil-p-quinoles y p-quinaminas por reacci\u00f3n con el 2-trimetilsisloxifurano.
