Uno de los integrantes de la mec es el acido hialuronico, que se incrementa durante los procesos de oncogenesis. Se estudio su comportamiento en los procesos benignos y malignos mamarios observando que las concentraciones elevadas de acido hialuronico, se asociaron a tumores menores de 2 cm., Sin metastasis, con grado histologico i, con fase de sintesis celular menor del 14%, diploides, re +, rpg +, ps2 + y t-ap +, es decir, son tumores de peque\u00f1o tama\u00f1o, bien diferenciados, hormonodependientes y poco proliferativos. No se observaron diferencias en sus concentraciones al clasificar los tumores en funcion del estado menopausico de la mujer, focalidad, multicentricidad y presencia o no y numero de adenopatias axilares infiltradas. De todo ello podemos deducir que los carcinomas de mama hormonodependientes con mayores concentraciones de ah, presentaron unas caracteristicas indicadoras de un mejor
