Con al menos 1 miembro afecto de rp y clasificadas geneticamente como 20% de la forma adrp; 17,33% arrp; 60% de los casos sc o esporadicos y un 2,66% de casos no clasificados (nc), fueron chaqueados molecularmente en el gen de la rodopsina para buscar alteraciones en dicho gen susceptibles de dar cierta informacion relacionada con esa patolog\u00eda. Dicho chequeo, realizado usando: pcr, dgge, digestiones y secuenciacion dio como resultado un 33,33% de formas adrp junto con un 23,07% de arrp; 33,33% de sc y 50% de nc que presentaron alguna alteracion en el gen de la rodopsina; de ellas un 13,33% de las formas adrp y un 2,22% de los casos sc eran mutaciones que parecian ser responsables de la afectacion. El resto de las anomalias en la secuencia eran mutaciones silentes y\/o polimorfismos.
