{"id":136254,"date":"1997-01-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"1997-01-01T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/sin-categoria\/actividad-hipotensora-del-diltiazem-en-un-modelo-de-glaucoma-por-corticosteroides-en-conejos-albinos\/"},"modified":"1997-01-01T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"1997-01-01T00:00:00","slug":"actividad-hipotensora-del-diltiazem-en-un-modelo-de-glaucoma-por-corticosteroides-en-conejos-albinos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/ciencias-medicas\/actividad-hipotensora-del-diltiazem-en-un-modelo-de-glaucoma-por-corticosteroides-en-conejos-albinos\/","title":{"rendered":"Actividad hipotensora del diltiazem en un modelo de glaucoma por corticosteroides en conejos albinos."},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Tesis doctoral de <strong> Jose Melena Silva <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Dentro del conjunto de farmacos potencialmente antiglaucomatosos que se estudian en la actualidad, los farmacos bloqueantes de los canales del calcio parecen presentar una doble accion de interes teerapeutico: por un lado, reducen la presion intraocular y, por otro, incrementan el flujo vascular en el nervio optico.Tras haberse objetivado en estudios precedentes el efecto hipotensor oclar de estos farmacos, aplicados topicamente, en conejos albinos normotensos, el presente trabajo fue concebido para caracterizar la actividad de uno de estos farmacos, el diltiazem, en un modelo animal de glaucoma. El modelo elegido fue el glaucoma secundario a la administracion subconjuntival de corticosteroides en conejos albinos, el cual remeda, en cuanto a su mecanismo y principales caracteristicas, el glaucoma cronico de angulo abierto humano. Dicho modelo fue inducido mediante la inyeccion subconjuntival, unilateral y semanal, de 4,2 mg de betametasona en forma de suspension, observandose un incremento de la presion intraocular en el ojo tratado reproducible, estable y duradero.  una vez caracterizado el modelo experimental de glaucoma, se procedio a evaluar la capacidad del diltiazem topico tanto para prevenir como para tratar la hipertension ocular provaocada por la betametasona. En ambos casos se estudio el efecto de cinco concentraciones del farmaco en administracion unica diaria, encontrandose que el diltiazem topico es capaz tanto de prevenir la hipertension ocular provocada por la betametasona como de reducir la misma una vez instaurada de manera dosis-dependiente.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Actividad
