En primer lugar, se examinan los aspectos referentes a la biosorcion con biomasa libre, haciendo hincapie en los factores que afectan al proceso.  asi, se estudia la cinetica de biosorcion y el efecto en la misma de ph, presencia de ca(ii), deficiencia en nitrogeno de la biomasa y\/o varacion en la concentacion de biomasa y metal. Ademas se analiza el acondicionamiento y la reutilizacion de la biomasa, y los grupos superficiales implicados en el proceso. En un segundo bloque, se estudia la biosorcion con la biomasa inmovilizada en resina de polisulfona, comparado su eficacia con resinas quimicas de intercambio ionico. Los resultados obtenidos avalan la posibilidad de emplear biomasa de p. Laminosum, pretratada alcalinamente e inmovilizada en polisulfona, para la eliminacion de cr(iii), cd(ii) y pb(ii) de disoluciones contaminadas con dichos iones y la posterior recuperacion del metal
