Solo en el caso de las betas-sililcetonas la secuencia aminacion reductiva-ciclacion proporciono el correspondiente derivado 3-aril-4- sililmetiltetrahidroisoquinolinico, mientras que en el caso de las betas-enaminocetonas al aplicar diferentes metodos de aminacion reductiva se obtuvieron heterociclos como pirimidinas e isoxazoles 4,5-diarilsustituidos, habiendose estudiado asimismo la reactividad de estos ultimos.  por otro lado, el empleo de precursores alfa-oximinocetonicos, obtenidos a partir de desoxibenzoinas, si proporciono con exito derivados 3-aril-4-hidroxitetrahidroisoquinolinicos a traves de una secuencia sintetica diferente, donde se encontraron nuevas aplicaciones a la asistencia por ultrasonidos de las reacciones organicas. El estudio comparativo de la oxidacion selectiva del grupo hidroxilo de la 3-aril-4-hidroxitetrahidroisoquinolinas asi obtenidas permitio acceder a las correspondientes 3-aril-4-isoquinolonas.  por ultimo, una vez obtenido el intermedio clave de tipo 3-aril-4-metilidentetrahidroisoquinolinico via metilenacion de peterson, este fue sometido a diferentes condiciones de carbonilacion y acilacion, resultando que a traves de la aplicacion de condiciones de acilacion olefinica del citado intermedio se obtuvieron directamente nuevos derivados 12- alquil-5,6-dihidrobenzo(c) fenantridinicos, los
