El proposito se basa en analizar la inclusion de este nuevo parametro de funcion pulmonar en el estudio de la funcion pulmonar de rutina, su relacion con los datos antropometricos y su comparacion en sujetos sanos con otros parametros de funcion pulmonar. Determinar si el angulo beta puede aportar informacion adicional sobre el estudio de sujetos con patolog\u00eda respiratoria. Para ello estudiamos a 295 sujetos divididos en 5 grupos, sujetos sanos no fumadores, sanos fumadores, pacientes con epoc, pacientes con asma y pacientes con enfermedades respiratorias restrictivas, practicando estudios de funcion pulmonar en todos ellos y la cuantificacion del angulo beta.  obtuvimos las siguientes conclusiones: 1. La determinacion del angulo beta en la curva mefv caracteriza de forma adecuada su morfolog\u00eda y proporciona una informacion cuantitativa de la misma. 2. El valor de beta es independiente en adultos jovenes de la edad, talla y peso 3. La morfolog\u00eda de la curva mefv reflejada mediante beta discrimina mejor la presencia o ausencia de limitacion al flujo aereo que los parametros clasicos de la
