El analisis de las facies permite caracterizar seis modelos de medios de sedimentacion, cuatro de abanicos aluviales y dos lacustres, que se asocian en cinco dispositivos sedimentarios. Se han elaborado mapas de distribucion de facies y paleocorrientes que han permitido reconstruir la paleogeografia de cada unidad, proporcionando en conjunto una imagen dinamica de la evolucion de la cuenca intimamente ligada a las variaciones de la actividad tectonica a lo largo del tiempo. En este sentido las nueve unidades inferiores constituyen la sedimentacion correlativa a ocho periodos diastroficos mientras que la mas alta se genera a partir de variaciones
