Los complejos cis-mc1(co)2ln (m= rh, ir) son mesogenos dando lugar a mesofases n y sa, poniendo de manifiesto que es posible obtener complejos mesogenos por coordinacion de un ligando no mesogeno a un fragmento organometalico. Se han preparado y caracterizado estructuralmente clusters de formula rh4( o2ccr3)4( -co)4(ln)4 que poseen un esqueleto tetranuclear plano cuadrado. Los complejos ionicos de plata preparados presentan un rico comportamiento mesogeno habiendose estudiado para estos sistemas ionicos la influencia que la naturaleza del ligando y del anion ejercen sobre las propiedades mesogenas.  en la segunda parte de la memoria se describe la sintesis, caracterizacion y estudio de complejos dinucleares de rodio (ii) con ligandos de tipo benzoato, complejos que tambien han sido caracterizados electroquimicamente.
