La determinacion, mediante tecicas de bandeo cromosomico e hibridacion \u00abin situ\u00bb fluorescente, de la naturaleza de las ocho variantes de cromosomas b encontradas en estas poblaciones revel\u00f3 que los cromosomas b de marruecos estan, mayoritariamente, compuestos por los mismos tipos de adn(ribos\u00f3mico, y repetitivo de 180 pb) que los cromosomas b encontrados en espa\u00f1a. Esto permitio interpretar que estos cromosomas podrian tener un origen comun. El cromosoma b mas frecuente era bm1(muy similar al b1 de las poblaciones ibericas [henriques-gil y col., 1984a]), por lo que se ha considerado como el b original en marruecos. las tecnicas mencionadas han revelado tambien que, con excepcion de la falta de adn repetitivo en la parte paracentromerica del autosoma s10, de la disposicion al reves de las sondas de adn ribosomico y repetitivo del atosoma s11 y de la actividad de las nors secundarias localizadas en los autosomas l1-m8 de los especimenes de marruecos, los cromosomas a y b de los especimenes de marruecos y espa\u00f1a no muestran mayores diferencias. la frecuencia estimada de los bs en las poblaciones estudiadas resulto ser relativamente baja (entre 0.125 y 0.526), y el analisis de la evolucion espacio-temporal de la frecuencia bm1 mostro que no era significativamente diferente entre las nueve poblaciones estudiadas ni a lo largo de los tres a\u00f1os de muestreo. Tras el analisis de la transmision de los bs en las poblaciones de smir, so.De.A y mechra. Solo el cromosoma bm1 de la poblacion situada mas al sur (mechra) se acumulaba a traves de las hembras. Seg\u00fan el modelo evolutivo propuesto por camacho y col.
