Con este fin, se ha utilizado para la ecuacion constitutiva del fluido, un modelo tipo oldroyd.  este modelo es capaz de dar cuenta de las propiedades viscoelasticas de una gran variedad de liquidos con propiedades polimericas.  un analisis lineal permite determinar las diferentes clases de movimientos convectivos y sus correspondientes bifurcaciones. En particular se ha estudiado la influencia de los tiempos de relajacion y retardacion del tensor de esfuerzo de no equilibrio en los valores criticos para las diferentes inestabilidades.  partiendo de los resultados del analisis lineal, se ha llevado a cabo un desarrollo perturbativo y se han determinado las ecuaciones de amplitud que caracterizan las diferentes bifurcaciones cerca del umbral. Se ha encontrado que la naturaleza de la solucion convectiva depende crucialmente de los parametros viscoelasticos y de la ecuacion constitutiva usada para caracterizar el fluido. Como complemento a este analisis no lineal, se ha estudiado un modelo no perturbativo, basado en desarrollos de fourier truncados, denominado modelo de lorenz generalizado. Se ha efectuado una simulacion numerica de este modelo, y se han obtenido soluciones caoticas que dependen de manera sensible de los parametros viscoelasticos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
