Los complejos anionicos se aislaron como sales de alquilamonio (r=me, pr, bu). Las sales (bu4n) (rh2(a) (co)4) reaccionan con ttf (tetratiofulvaleno) para formar compuestos de formula (ttf) (rh2(a) (co)4) que presentan una conductividad entre 10-4 y 10-5 omega-1cm-1. Por oxidacion de (bu4n) (rh2(a) (co)4) se obtuvieron los compuestos de Valencia mixta (rh2(a) (co)4).
