A tal efecto, se ha desarrollado un programa de simulacion basado en el metodo de monte carlo. El trabajo se divide en seis capitulos: en el primero se exponen las propiedades fisicas del sistema en el que se efectua el transporte. En el segundo, se describen los modulos de la implementacion informatica llevada a cabo. En el capitulo tercero se estudia la cinematica del transporte electronico. En el capitulo cuarto se obtiene la funcion de distribucion del momento y de la energia del sistema de electrones. En el capitulo cinco se estudia la dinamica del electron, a fin de caracterizar su dispersion espacial y relacionarla con el area de ruptura de un oxido roto dielectricamente. Finalmente, en el capitulo seis, se caracteriza la disipacion de energia en el volumen del oxido y se interpreta fenomenologicamente la relacion tiempo de ruptura-espesor de
