El grupo trasplante mostro un mayor incremento de la frecuencia cardiaca (36+-11% vs 16+-6%, p&lt;0,0001) y del indice cardiaco (80+-30% vs 56+-14%, p&lt;0,05) y un aumento similar del volumen sistolico (32+-17 vs 35+-13%, ns).  los cambios en la presion arterial, el trabajo cardiaco y las resistencias perifericas no difirieron en ambos grupos. El flujo coronario mostro un mayor incremento en el grupo trasplante (75+-35 vs 48+-31, p&lt;0,05). La extraccion miocardica de adrenalina fue muy baja en los trasplantados (7+-11% vs 64+-18%, p&lt;0,001). La liberacion cardiaca de noradrenalina fue baja en 9 de los pacientes con trasplante (8+-22 pmol\/min vs 48+-43 pmol\/min), y elevada en los dos restantes (72 y 143 pmol\/min). Estos dos pacientes no mostraron una respuesta cronotropica distinta del resto del grupo.  se concluye que el corazon trasplantado responde a la adrenalina con elevaciones superiores de la frecuencia y el gasto cardiacos.
