Se ha delimitado en dos per\u00edodos cronol\u00f3gicos: el primero abarca las primeras d\u00e9cadas del siglo xx para finalizar en la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os 70. El segundo per\u00edodo parte desde estos a\u00f1os hasta la primera mitad de la d\u00e9cada de los 90. Las relaciones establecidas se conectan a trav\u00e9s de los or\u00edgenes y la g\u00e9nesis del nacionalismo vasco como doctrina ideol\u00f3gica y pol\u00edtica, la obra y pensamiento de jorge de oteiza y los movimientos de escuela vasca que tratan de colocar la escultura vasca al mismo nivel que las corrientes internacionales de arte,y el proyecto moderno, como marco cultural global. En la segunda parte, las relaciones se establecen a partir del cambio en la doctrina nacionalista, ya insertada en un marco democr\u00e1tico, la referencia a la psomodernidad donde la idea de internacionalismo, movilidad, fragmentaci\u00f3n y cuestionamiento de la idea de proyecto son las pautas fundamentales. Se han escogido en este apartado las propuestas pl\u00e1sticas individuales de txomin badiola, \u00e1ngel bados, m\u00aa luisa fern\u00e1ndez, pello irazu y juan luis
