Los pitagoricos descubrieron una intensificaci\u00f3n de la belleza en las obras cuando se rigen seg\u00fan el numero aureo. La ciencia moderna ha reconocido la causa: se debe a que el crecimiento de todos los organismos vivos est\u00e1 regido por esta proporcion, tambien llamada fi. Representa la forma \u00f3ptima como un ser vivo puede elaborar un m\u00e1ximo de materia con un minimo gasto de energia. Esta constante rige tambien para el ser humano, tanto en su forma corporal como en sus organos de percepcion. El especial agrado que el sujeto percibe ante el numero aureo, es un reconocimiento sensitivo de la ley del crecimiento.  la filosofia est\u00e1 actualmente trabajando en lo que llama formas, es decir, los esquemas o ritmos racionales que ordenan los ambitos en los que se estratifica la energia-materia. En el orden mas elevado, el de los modos complejos de conocimiento, se muestra con bastante claridad una estructura tri\u00e1dica o trigangular. Los aspectos m\u00e1s sensitivos tienen una autonomia por la que su ordenacion permanece inconsciente para el entendimiento abstracto.  la tesis de este trabajo es que el numero fi, en tanto que
