El trabajo comprende 2 experiencias realizadas en cuadrado latino con 4 corderos fistulizados en rumen y duodeno en las que se determino la degradabilidad y transito en el rumen de diferentes alimentos, la digestibilidad ruminal y global de las dietas y las condiciones del medio ruminal (parametros de la fermentacion y composicion de la digesta ruminal).  el molido del heno de la dieta indujo una elevacion de los valores de degradabilidad de las materias nitrogenadas de los concentrados vegetales, mientras que por el contrario, la degradabilidad disminuyo, tanto para las materias nitrogenadas como para la fibra, en el caso del heno. La sustitucion progresiva de heno por concentrado redujo la degradabilidad de la proteina de los concentrados y a un nivel mas limitado del heno, reduciendose, asi mismo, el aprovechamiento digestivo de la fibra.
