En este sentido, el estudio del comportamiento del ruido urbano ha permitido avanzar en las t\u00e9cnicas de medidas para su evaluaci\u00f3n.  el trabajo se ha desarrollado a partir de medias realizadas en la ciudad de Valencia. Estas medidas han sido analizadas con la intenci\u00f3n de establecer conclusiones que permitan optimizar su evaluaci\u00f3n sin perder demasiada representatividad.  a trav\u00e9s del estudio de las medidas de larga duraci\u00f3n ha sido posible establecer su car\u00e1cter estacionario de forma que un d\u00eda laboral puede representar al resto de d\u00edas. Por otra parte, se han analizado medidas de menor duraci\u00f3n cuyo resultado ha llevado al denomiando tiempo de estabilizaci\u00f3n que determina la duraci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima de una medida.  la propuesta de directiva del parlamento europeo y del consejo evaluaci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n del ruido ambiental propone, con la intenci\u00f3n de armonizar la metodolog\u00eda de evaluaci\u00f3n de ruido urbano, un \u00fanico par\u00e1metro llamado lden (nivel equivalente d\u00eda-tarde-noche). Este par\u00e1metro es de larga duraci\u00f3n (un a\u00f1o) y no se indica el procedimiento de obtenci\u00f3n.
