El trabajo cubre diversas areas relacionadas con la caracterizacion, modelacion y simulacion de los dispositivos mos de potencia.  se ha analizado el problema de la adquisicion de datos i-v en estos dispositivos y se ha desarrollado un metodo pulsado de duty-cycle autoadaptativo a la potencia disipada y a la temperatura ambiente.  tambien se ha desarrollado un metodo basado en la division del canal de conduccion este metodo analitico permite el analisis de la distribucion de tensiones a lo largo del canal a la vez que obtener un modelo analitico para el comportamiento dc del dispositivo. Este modelo analitico ha sido comparado con los mas utilizados en los programas simuladores actuales, mostrando un mejor ajuste a los datos experimentales.  por otra parte, los valores de los parametros necesarios para un optimo ajuste del modelo a los datos experimentales necesitan un menor distorsion con respecto a los valores considerados como fisicamente mas
