Los datos estadisticos apuntan a que hay una intima relacion entre estos dos conceptos. Relacion que, aunque aludida en algunos estudios, no ha sido investigada con la profundidad que reclaman esos datos. En el presente estudio se han intentado contemplar los primeros momentos de vida de estos conceptos, ver como se iluminan mutuamente, y ofrecer asi unos nuevos puntos de apoyo para la reflexion teologica.  dentro del campo semantico del pecado el estudio se ha ce\u00f1ido a las raices   ,  ,   ,   ,   ,   y a la locucion . En el campo semantico de paz hemos estudiado la raiz   , que abarca en si misma, la plenitud de matices que componen ese concepto.  una de las principales conclusiones, es que el termino que habitualmente designa la paz     aparece en estos textos patriarcales con su sentido mas primitivo:  plenitud. La raiz que de ordinario se emplea para hablar del pecado,    todavia desprovista de connotacion teologica aparece en el sentido de falta, carencia de algo que se debia tener.
