Seria interesante ver si existe algun farmaco que provoque bloqueo sensitivo y motor, sin provocar bloqueo simpatico. la ketamina sin conservantes provoca anestesis segmentaria cuando se administra por via subaracnoidea y no es neurotoxica. Realizar una anestesis subaracnoidea en una situacion de hipovolemia aguda puede agravar la hipotension arterial.  objetivo: valorar experimentalmente si la ketamina adminsitrada por via subaracnoidea tiene menor repercusion hemodinamica que la lidocaina en condiciones de normo e hipovolemia.  material y metodos: 30 cerdos distribuidos en 6 grupos, 3 en condiciones de normovolemia y 3 en hipovolemia;en cada situacion se comparo el efecto de ketamina 1% 1 mg\/kg, con lidocaina 2% 2 mg\/kg y ketamina 2% 2 mg\/kg. se canalizo el espacio subaracnoideo para administracion de los farmacos a estudio, y se inserto un cateter en la arteria femoral y en la arteria pulmonar para medicion de las variables hemodinamicas, se monitoriz\u00f3 el ecg y el etco2.
