Por los citados metodos se han caracterizado cuatro formas polimorfas no solvatadas. Los bajos valores en la velocidad de disolucion intrinseca, encontrados para dichas forman conducen a prerparar despersiones solidas con portadores solubles, tipo peg y pvp. Se determina la influencia de la naturaleza del portador y del disolvente en la forma polimorfa obtenida. Con el fin de obtener una liberacion controlada del farmaco se formulan sistemas matriciales con hidroxipropilmetilcelulosa al 30, 50 y 70%. A partir de ellos se determina el mecanismo de liberacion del difunisal a ph 5 y 7; de esta manera se estudia la contribucion del proceso de difusion y la erosion de la matriz a la liberacion del
