Desde los inicios, el equipo docente trato de incorporar al sistema educativo aquellos elementos que consideraron utiles de otras. El elemento clave y mas significativo del plan educativo se logro con la institucionalizacion de los \u00abpreceptores\u00bb, profesores especialmente responsabilizados de la orientacion personal y escolar de un grupo de alumnos, con los que hablaban personalmente. Algunos colegios surgidos de la iniciativa social en las decadas de los a\u00f1os 50 y 60 partieron de las experiencias aportadas por gaztelueta, asimilandolas en diverso grado y manera. El i.C.E.
