En 40 conejos, se efectuaron 5 tipos de injertos (autoinjertos nerviosos convencionales autoinjertos vascularizados, aloinjertos frescos, aloinjertos congelados e injertos con musculo preparado), se utilizaron ademas 2 grupos control (nervios normales y con defecto de 3 cm).  la valoracion de la regeneracion nerviosa se realizo con estudios de electromiografia, microscopia de luz y microscopia electronica, de las cuales obtuvimos informacion de tipo cualitativo y cuantitativo del analisis morfometrico de la medicion de las densidades de fibras a nivel del injerto y distal al injerto, del area de la vaina de mielina del area total de la fibra y de su diametro medio.  a los 5 meses de evolucion ningun injerto presenta una regeneracion comparable con un nervio normal. No hay diferencias significativas entre los vascularizados, lo que hace cuestionable la utilizacion de estos ultimos.  entre los aloinjertos congelados y los injertos con musculo no ha diferencias significativas y estos presentan una regeneracion nerviosa util, pero de peor calidad que los autoinjertos; por lo cual su uso podria reservarse ante casos de ausencia o escasez de autoinjertos o para
