Adorno parte de la no realizaci\u00f3n de los ideales ilustrados de la raz\u00f3n y de la constataci\u00f3n de que \u00e9sta acaba autocensur\u00e1ndose y enmudeciendo. La causa de este final se encuentra en el hecho fundamental del doble car\u00e1cter de la raz\u00f3n: instrumento de emancipaci\u00f3n respecto de toda forma de dominio, y ella misma instrumento de dominio de todas aquellas fuerzas que amenazan al sujeto que se constituye frente a la naturaleza. Al final del proceso civilizatorio el sujeto habr\u00e1 olvidado los objetivos de su autoconservaci\u00f3n, perdiendo la raz\u00f3n la capacidad de ser la instancia de autodeterminaci\u00f3n de la vida humana. Adorno analiza la filosof\u00eda moderna con el fin de mostrar como el car\u00e1cter mencionado es inherente a sus pretensiones y supuestos. Plantea la posibilidad de un pensamiento que rememore el car\u00e1cter emancipador de la raz\u00f3n. No como una vuelta acr\u00edtica a momentos superados de la misma, sino como el esfuerzo de volver el pensamiento hacia lo particular y especial, olvidado y reprimido en el ejercicio de su historia, y s\u00f3lo conservado, en forma de promesa de salvaci\u00f3n, en el car\u00e1cter mim\u00e9tico de la obra de arte.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
