Las especies estudiadas (ligos sphaerocarpa, pistacia terebinthus, medicago arborea, atriplex nummularia, atriplex cinerea y rumer lunaria) fueron sometidas a 3 tratamientos hidricos distintos durante el periodo de estudio (4 a\u00f1os), se midio el crecimiento en altura; se muestreo la biomasa aerea (reparto y caracteristicas foliares) y la subterranea; se determinaron las variaciones estacionales del potencial osmotico y del modulo de elasticidad (curvas rv); y los ciclos diarios de transpiracion y potencial hidrico (agosto 1987). A. Numularia, a. Cinerea y m. Arborea son las especies mas eficientes en el uso del agua y las que acumulan una mayor cantidad de biomasa.
