Para ello hemos iniciado el trabajo con la concreci\u00f3n de los conceptos esenciales sobre los que se ha cimentado el posterior an\u00e1lisis cr\u00edtico, ya que la ambig\u00ed\u00bcedad y el car\u00e1cter fronterizo de la adpataci\u00f3n han generado numerosos juicios, a veces infundados, que hemos revisado en un intento de dilucidaci\u00f3n de su vigencia o inexactitud. desde lo general a lo particular hemos examinado ambos lenguajes -cinematogr\u00e1fico y literario-, su esencia su car\u00e1cter, su sintaxis y su morfolog\u00eda, as\u00ed como sus respectivos l\u00edmites, antagonismos y confluencias, revisando el concepto de autor en ambas narrativas y los propios t\u00e9rminos t\u00e9cnicos usados como categor\u00edas claves de nuestro razonamiento. Las coordenadas diacr\u00f3nicas y sincr\u00f3nicas que contextualizan el pensamiento cr\u00edtico en torno a las adaptaciones cinematogr\u00e1ficas tambi\u00e9n han sido objeto de reflexi\u00f3n, ya que \u00e9ste tambi\u00e9n mediatiza el juicio es muy diveros niveles y categor\u00edas. el laboratorio de trabajo utilizado para investigar nuestras hip\u00f3tesis es el que nos proporciona un grupo pradigm\u00e1tico de escritores-guionistas que no s\u00f3lo escribieron obras maestras en el \u00e1mbito literario sino tambi\u00e9n en el cinematogr\u00e1fico, nos referimos a la denominada \u00abgeneraci\u00f3n perdida\u00bb de escritores estadounidenses entre los que narradores del calibre de william faulkner, francis scott fitzgerald, john steinbeck, y muchos m\u00e1s, compaginaron su labor de escritores de libros con la de guionistas de cine. Unos escritores-guionistas que adem\u00e1s vieron c\u00f3mo una buena parte de su obra literaria era tambi\u00e9n adaptada al cine por otros narradores. Circunstancias todas ellas extraordinarias cualitativa y cuantitativamente.
