Seguidamente se aborda el espinoso asunto de la reconstruccion de su vida y obra, asi como las lineas generales de su pensamiento, como base imprescindible para poder acceder a la comprension de su teoria del conocimiento y su moral, tanto en su originalidad como en su contexto historico. Acabada esta labor propedeutica, se inicia el analisis de su gnoseolog\u00eda con la terminolog\u00eda escolastica, haciendo especial hincapie en su sobriedad conceptual y su peculiaridad en relacion a la evolucion de las ideas del siglo xiii. Temas como el de la materia, las especies, dios y el alma merecen especial atencion, porque configuran un modelo de subjetividad -intuitivo y experimental- que permitira el posterior desarrollo del nominalismo. Por fin, se aportan nuevos elementos en la intima correlacion alma-moral, sin dejar de lado otros aspectos como la historia, el joaquinismo, la astronomia y el alcance de su proyecto de reforma
