La intensa explotacion de los mismos ha propiciado la intrusion marina en el delta. Se han recopilado 3774 datos de cl, 1663 analisis quimicos, 130 datos isotopicos y 4000 datos de niveles.  estudiando la evolucion hidroquimica e isotopica se tiene ubfirnacuib sibre oricesis hidrogeoquimicos, las caracteristicas hidraulicas y el funcionamiento de los acuiferos. Se estudian las evoluciones del ci, con lo que se conocen las zonas de recarga y los tiempos de transito. Se describe la evolucion temporal de la isolinea de 1000 mg\/l de cl entre 1965 y 1985. Utilizando mapas de isocontenidos y de relaciones ionicas se diferencia la recarga lateral de la del acuifero del valle bajo. Los principales fenomenos hidroquimicos son el intercambio ionico en el proceso de intrusion marian, y los fenomenos redox relacionados con el ambiente anaerobico de acuifero profundo. El tritio indica una zona con agua de recarga actual, y otra con agua de recarga antigua y de intrusion marina. Se calcula el tiempo de transito del agua. Con los datos de o18 y d se constata que el agua del acuifero profundo procede en su mayor parte de la recarga en el valle bajo. En los bordes del delta la recarga es mas pesada y procede de aguas de lluvia local. Se aplica el programa transin ii para modelar el flujo y transporte de cl en el acuifero profundo en un periodo de 20 a\u00f1os. En los balances la recarga en el valle bajo supone un 55% de las entradas al acuifero profunco (37 hm3\/a\u00f1o), las otras entradas estan formadas por recarga lateral, goteo a traves de los limos, e
