Es basicamente un proceso de validacion de constructo que recorre los siguientes temas:  conceptualizacion, definiciones operativas que se han dado al clima, problemas metodologicos de aproximacion al constructo, enfoques y tecnicas de medida empleadas en este campo, elaboracion de un modelo teorico como posible explicacion de la variable objeto de estudio, valoracion del modelo segun criterios logicos y empiricos y otras aproximaciones a la fiabilidad de las medidas utilizadas y a la validez de las inferencias que se pueden hacer a partir de las mismas. La bibliografia del estudio pretende abarcar trabajos que representen diversos momentos de la evolucion de la investigacion sobre el tema en diversos ambitos y unidades de analisis.
