Un aspecto basico que se ha considerado es la influencia del bombardeo electronico en la quimisorcion y oxidacion del nb expuesto a h20. A efectos comparativos tambien se estudia la reactividad del 02. Este estudio pone de manifiesto que la tasa de fijacion de atomos de oxigeno es mucho mas eficiente cuando la superficie se expone a h20 y dosis de bombardeo electronico el estado final es el del oxido nb205, mientras que para 02 el estado final es un oxido de menor Valencia. Tambien se determinan los coeficientes iniciales de captura para el h20 (0.41) y el 02 (0.9), a 240 k. En base a este estudio se presenta un modelo tanto para la adsorcion disociativa como para la oxidacion bajo bombardeo electronico, basada en la existencia de radicales oh y en la desorcion inducida
