este trabajo se ha abordado el estudio del nivel de compatibilidad molecular de diferentes polietilenos utilizando las tecnicas de difraccion de rayos x, calorimetria diferencial, microscopia optica y electronica, etc. Los resultados en mezclas cristalizadas a subenfriamientos elevados indican que los polietilenos lineal y ramificado cristalizan conjuntamente en una fase.  el punto de fusion en equilibrio del politileno lineal en las mezclas con el polietileno ramificado experimenta una depresion que es debida a dos factores independiente: la inclusion parcial de cadenas ramificadas en los cristales de polietileno lineal y el aumento de la entropia de mezcla como consecuencia del exceso de volumen creado por las ramas.  se ha propuesto un modelo termodinamico de mezcla que, a diferencia de la teoria clasica de flory-huggins, explica satisfactoriamente la tendencia de la depresion del punto de fusion de los cristales de polietileno introducidos en matrices de polietileno ramificado, y
