Para ello se ha utilizado la tecnica epitaxial almbe (epitaxia por haces moleculares de capas atomicas para obtener epitaxias de alta calidad a bajas temperaturas de substrato en dos campos paralelos.  por un lado en heterouniones invertidas de alta movilidad y por otro lado, en unas nuevas heteroestructuras de alta movilidad electronica en las que los materiales constituyentes tienen diferente parametro de red. A lo largo de la memoria se describen las ventajas de estas estructuras sobre las convencionales.  el trabajo se complementa con la fabricacion de un transistor de efecto campo de alta movilidad
