Estos carbohidratos son los responsables del bajo valor nutritivo de la cebada, ya que provocan un aumento de la viscosidad intestinal y una menor digestion y absorcion de los nutrientes, disminuyendo por consiguiente la utilizacion energetica de las raciones a base de cebada por las aves.  nosotros hemos comprobado como la adicion de complejos enzimaticos a raciones a base de cebada en pollos de carne tiene efectos beneficiosos a nivel productivo, fisiologico e histologico, justificando plenamente la sustitucion del maiz por este cereal en la alimentacion de estos
