Estos nuevos materiales manifiestan una elevada conductividad electrica cuando son tratados con compuestos oxidantes o reductores. Las lineas basicas de actuacion en dicha tesis contempla la:  &#8211; prediccion por via quimico-cuantica de las propiedades vibracionales (frecuencias normales de vibracion, constantes de fuerza y simetria de los modos normales de vibracion) y electronicas (dependencia de las propiedades electronicas tales como ip, eg, etc., Con la rotacion interna) de los propios polimeros y de oligomeros modelo.  &#8211; medida e interpretacion de los espectros vibracionales de los polimeros en estado neutro y oxidado (por via quimica o por fotoinduccion).  el estudio se ha centrado sobre dos polimeros de la familia de los poliheteroaromaticos: polifurano y poli(3-metiltiofeno).
