Dicho analisis se extendio a la mitosis y a la meiosis. Los ejemplares fueron capturados en el sur de la peninsula iberica y en el norte de marruecos.  como resultado de dicho estudio se caracterizaron los cariotipos de estas especies y se conocio con detalle el transcurso de la meiosis de estas especies, comprobandose, a la luz de estos datos, la existencia de 3 nuevas especies de mantidos que no eran diferenciables morfologicamente de otras tantas conocidas. Asimismo, se detecto la presencia de cromosomas supernumerarios en dcd especies, y de segmento supern.
