Dicho metodo esta basado en la utilizacion de funciones de base discretas y aporta frente a otros una eficacia computacional ostensible en el tratamiento de funciones de energia potencial no multinomicas. En segundo lugar se propone y analiza la utilizacion de los sistemas de coordenadas curvilineas de jacobi, radau y la optimizacion de los mismos mediante rotaciones y transformaciones a coordenadas hiperesfericas, para la descripcion de los movimientos vibracionales de gran amplitud en moleculas triatomicas angulares. Todo ello se ejemplifica, desarrolla y discute en las aplicaciones numericas realizadas para las moleculas de o3, so2 y h2o que, en buena medida, son representativas del conjunto de moleculas
