En primer lugar, se secuencio y caracterizo, revelandose la existencia de dos pautas abiertas de lectura completas (orfb y orf1) y otras dos incompletas (orfa y orf2). Las orf1 y orf2 forman una -cetoacil sintetasa heterodimerica, cuyo centro activo es un residuo de cisteina. Las orfb y orfa tienen funcion desconocida hasta el momento.  en segundo lugar, se llevo a cabo la expresion obtenido solo era detectado mediante el marcaje utilizando s-metionina.
